Three dead in a fatal rollover accident near Balmorhea

Three people are dead and four others are in the hospital after a rollover accident near Balmorhea. 

DPS says the accident happened Saturday morning around 11:03 a.m. on Highway 10, 3 miles west of Balmorhea. 

According to the report, a 2015 Ford Transit was traveling west on Interstate Highway 10 near mile marker 205. 

They say the tread on the right rear tire separated, causing the Ford to lose control and roll. 

Authorities tell us 29-year-old Clifton Tucker, 25-year-old Amanda Akaji, and 29-year-old Andrew Akaji were pronounced dead on the scene. 

All three people that died were not wearing seat belts. 

The other four passengers, including a 3-year-old girl were rushed to several different hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
