MIDLAND, Texas (Nexstar)- The City of Midland says reconstruction work on Thomason Drive will resume this week.
Work began in late March after ice storms in February caused widespread pavement failures along Thomason Drive.
Now, construction on Thomason Drive will consist of concrete work at the intersections, with construction generally progressing from west to east, according to the City of Midland.
The project also includes building a new roundabout to replace the existing all-way stop intersection at Thomason Drive, Illinois Avenue, and Beal Parkway.
The roundabout will be built in several phases to keep the intersection open to traffic as much as possible, but drivers should expect delays through the work area and around the Loop 250 / Thomason Drive interchange.
The entire project should be complete by late Fall.
