ODESSA, Texas — As of Sunday evening, seven people died as the result of a mass shooting on Saturday in Odessa.
Medical Center Hospital and Odessa Regional Medical Center provided an update on the condition of shooting victims.
MCH said one patient was in critical condition, two were serious and eight were in fair condition.
ORMC said two patients were in critical condition. Four patients had recovered well enough to be released.
University Medical Center in Lubbock said one child from the shooting had recovered well enough to go home.
In addition to the seven who died, officers shot and killed the gunman.
A DPS Trooper pulled over a vehicle in Odessa Saturday afternoon. Police said he shot the Trooper, drove off, hijacked a mail truck, and began shooting people randomly.
Officers confronted him, shot him and killed him.
The suspect was later identified as Seth Ator.
