The Red Raiders opened up the Lubbock Regional with a dominant 11-2 victory over Army on Friday.
Texas Tech’s bats started off hot with six quick runs in the first three innings. The Red Raiders scored the 11 runs on 16 hits during the contest. All nine starters contributed to the hits statistic.
Freshman Micah Dallas retired the first 12 Army batters up to the plate in his postseason debut. Army did not score a single run until the sixth inning.
Texas Tech will now face Dallas Baptist game on Saturday at 6 p.m. The Regional is double elimination.
