ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The Texas Rangers are investigating following an officer involved shooting Sunday night in Odessa.
Odessa Police officials say on Sunday night, officers were called to the 7200 block of Donatello about a shots fired call.
When officers arrived at the scene they spoke with a suspect who refused to comply with police and pointed a gun at the officers, according to information from the OPD.
Three officers then fired at the suspect, who was later pronounced dead at the scene, police say.
Neither the suspect or the officers involved have been identified.
The Texas Rangers have since taken over the investigation.
