LEA COUNTY, New Mexico (Big 2/Fox 24) – The Lea County Sheriff’s Office has charged one man in connection with a string of vehicle burglaries that occurred earlier this month.
Officials say back on July8, deputies were called to the 4000 block of West Smith Lane in Hobbs about seven vehicle burglaries.
While investigating, deputies learned that someone had taken seven tablets, mounting brackets and several microphones, according to a release.
During the investigation, deputies ultimately located several of the stolen items at a home in the 1900 block of East Dunn Street. They have also charged Fernando Munoz with seven counts of burglary and seven counts of criminal damage to property.
