MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The suspect accused of shooting at Midland County Deputies Sunday night remains at-large, according to a release Monday morning.
The investigating began when deputies responded to a disturbance on Sunday night in the area of South County Road 1175. When deputies arrived on scene, a suspect fired a gun at them, according to the release.
No injuries were reported in the shooting. However, officials say a man hunt was initiated for the suspect that included the MCSO, the Midland Police Department, the Ector County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Ector County Sheriff Mike Griffis says they deployed a drone pilot to the scene but were unable to locate the suspect in the area.
As of 11:20 a.m. Monday morning, officials say the scene had been cleared and residents in the area were being let back into their homes.
The suspect remains at-large, officials say.
Additionally, officials say the suspect have been identified and warrant have been issued.
