Stanton bank robbery suspect sentenced

STANTON, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) - A man, accused of robbing a bank in Stanton has been sentenced to federal prison, according to the US Attorney's Office. 

Officials say 59-year-old Jose Cruz Iglesias was sentenced to 78 months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release this week. 

Iglesias had been accused of taking $200,000 from the Community National Bank in Stanton back on December 23, 2016. 

Iglesias has also been ordered to pay $197,883 in restitution, according to the release.
