The Shelter in place at Buddy West Elementary School has officially been lifted, according to officials with ECISD.
The district says it was lifted around 11:35 a.m. Monday morning.
” The school did a great job in reacting to the situation and securing the building. Our police responded quickly – as always – everyone is safe,” a statement from the district reads.
Meanwhile, deputies with the Ector County Sheriff’s Office are still searching for a suspect and provided more details on the incident.
Officials say they are searching for a man believed to have robbed a game room at 16th Street and Clendenen Avenue at gunpoint.
The suspect reportedly made off with about $1,200 in cash.
No arrests have been made and ECSO officials say the investigation is ongoing.
Back at Buddy West, ECISD officers will remain near the campus.
