Right-handed starter Shelby Miller is working to get his pitching mojo back after undergoing Tommy John surgery nearly two years ago.
The native-Texan began his career with St. Louis before moving on to Atlanta and then Arizona. The Rangers aqcuired Miller as a free agent in January.
The righty hopes to revive his pitching career with Texas.
“I never thought I’d have to be that guy that would have to have Tommy John surgery. I thought I was always taking care of my body and eating the right way and all the things you’d think would prevent that kind of injury,” Miller disclosed.
However, the starter said he feels he is in great shape both mentally and physically. Miller hopes he can stay healthy through the 2019 season.
