MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – U.S. Senator John Cornyn will be making a pit stop in the Permian Basin to discuss infrastructure, the economy and health care with Midland leadership next week.
Representatives with the Permian Strategic Partnership, the Texas Transportation Commission as well as Judge Terry Johnson, Mayor Jerry Morales will attend the round-table discussion. Officials say they plan to discuss transportation needs, education, health care, housing issues and workforce training.
” Sen. Cornyn hopes to use the roundtable as a listening session, using what he learns from local experts in West Texas to shape his policy discussions in Washington,” a statement from Sen. Cornyn’s Office reads.
The round-table will take place Monday at the Petroleum Museum. Afterward, Sen. Cornyn and Midland leaders will tour the museum according to the release.
