Sanitizing company helps essential businesses amid pandemic

MONAHANS, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Shannon Shorter and Nancy Prieto are proof that an idea and a kind heart can go a long way during tough times.

“We weren’t a business before this, during the pandemic I thought about it and I was like ‘you know it’s something that I would like to do, start a disinfect and sanitizing company,” said Shannon Shorter, the CEO of Texas Sanitizer Pros.

Nancy Prieto, the VP of the company said, “We just want to help out of community we know that times are really inconsistent right now we don’t know what we are looking at tomorrow but if we can do something to be a part of making that change and helping the community than that’s what we are going to do.”

With the hope of keeping businesses open and their community healthy during the pandemic, the two decided to create Texas Sanitizer Pros; a sanitizing and disinfectant company that people can call to get their facility cleaned with an EPA approved non-toxic product.

“My business partner Shannon was thinking one day ‘why don’t we help the daycares and start doing daycares for free because it would help our parents be able to stay working and our kids able to go to Daycare,'” said Prieto.

Their services go all the way from Dallas to Midland and Odessa. All businesses have to do is contact them to book a time and they will disinfect the property for free.

Shorter said, “People are calling us everyday sometimes we wake up with zero clients on the schedule and we will do nine jobs.”
