HOUSTON, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) Railroad Commissioner Ryan Sitton will seek re-election in 2020.

Sittion sits on the Railroad Commission of Texas which regulates oil and gas production in the state.

“Texas is the nation’s largest energy producer with the nation’s strongest economy,” Sitton said. That’s no accident. We have built this record by producing energy that is affordable, reliable and as clean as possible. I pledge to continue using my business and industry experience working for Texans every single day at the Railroad Commission.

Sitton has served on the RRC since 2014.

Prior to his term with the RRC, Sitton started his own business, PinnacleART back in 2006.

I look forward to traveling all over Texas to talk about the principles Republicans stand for.  We believe in people more than we believe in government.  We believe in individual opportunity, innovation and potential. I’m committed to working with every Republican on the ballot to ensure Texas families know we stand for government to fulfill limited core functions, then get out of the way, Sitton said in a statement.

The general election will be held on Nov. 3, 2020.
