Jason Witten is back.
The former Cowboys Tight End will return to the grid iron after signing a 1-year-deal with his former team, according to Nick Eatman of Dallascowboys.com.
Witten retired from the NFL last year and spent a year in broadcast for “Monday Night Football.”
The Cowboys finished the season with a 10-6 record, falling to the LA Rams in the NFC Divisional round.
Witten told Dallscowboys.com in a statement: “The fire inside of me to compete and play this game is just burning too strong. This team has a great group of rising stars, and I want to help them make a run at a championship. This was completely my decision, and I am very comfortable with it. I’m looking forward to getting back in the dirt.”
