Police: Teen shot by father


BIG SPRING, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The Big Spring Police Department is investigating after a teen was shot by his father Tuesday afternoon. Police say they were called to the shooting around 6:08 p.m. Tuesday in the 2500 block of Langley.

At the scene, police say they located an 18-year-old man who had a gunshot wound to his lower back.

The victim was then transported to Scenic Mountain Medical Center and later to University Medical Center in Lubbock, according to the release.

While investigating the shooting, police learned that the victim had gotten into an altercation with his father, Jerome McNally, police say. During the altercation, McNally is accused of pulling out a gun and shooting the 18-year-old, according to the release.

McNally has since been arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
