Police seek suspect in attempted abduction

The Odessa Police Department has obtained surveillance footage of a suspect who is accused of an attempted abduction. 

Police say they are still searching for the man pictured above. 

The investigation began on Tuesday afternoon when officers were called to Lowes, in the 800 block of W. Clements. 

While investigating, police learned that two boy were waiting near Ector Middle School after missing their bus. 

While waiting, a man reportedly came up to one of the boys, grabbed him by the arm and started to walk away with him. 

The other boy then confronted the suspect, who let go and walked away from the scene, police say. 

The suspect has been described as a Hispanic man in his 50’s and was last seen wearing old jeans, a long sleeve shirt with stripes and sunglasses.
