Two people have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that happened early Tuesday morning.
According to a release from the Carlsbad Police Department, officers arrested 33-year-old Robert Vargas and 17-year-old Carlos Venegas and charges are pending against a third suspect.
Police say Vargas has been charged with an open count of murder, felon in possession of a firearm, shooting at an occupied dwelling, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, tampering with evidecne, conspiracy to commit murder and aggravated battery.
Venegas was reportedly charged with an open count of murder, tampering with evidence and conspiracy to commit murder.
On Tuesday morning police were called to the area of Peachtree Street about a shots fired call and found 41-year-old Eric Florez with multiple gunshot wounds, according to previous reports.
Witnesses reportedly told police that the shooting stemmed from a physical altercation.
Florez was later pronounced dead at the scene, according to previous reports.
