The Panthers are a little more than one week out from their annual spring football game.
Head Coach Jeff Ellison said the main goal behind spring football camp is to figure out which players belong where, and that’s why Permian utilizes the spring practices.
“We’re making those decisions in April and May instead of August,” he said.
The Panthers lost quite a few seniors after the 2018 season, and Ellison said he has been impressed with how the less-experienced players have stepped up.
Coach said he has been impressed with the secondary, but the offensive and defensive lines still need some improvement before the spring game.
Permian’s Black and White game is set for next Thursday, May 15.
