OPD plans block party

ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The Odessa Police Department will be out in force at the beginning of August. However, they won’t be chasing suspects and working cases. They will be throwing a party.

The OPD is planning a summer block party and they want you to come by. They are planning to have food and drinks, candy, dunking booths, games, music, jumpers and more.

Officers will also be on hand to meet with the community and take photos with the kids.

As an added bonus, the OPD plans to raffle off several bikes during the party. It’s an event you won’t want to miss. Join the OPD on August 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Floyd Gwin Park and be sure to bring your party hat.
