Hawn was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries but has since been transported to the Ector County Detention Center.
Odessa Police say there is major concern right now about drunk driving-related crashes.
“This year, so far, we’ve had several fatal crashes. Just one is too many, and we’ve had a lot. Every fatal crash has been alcohol-related so far. Except for one and we haven’t been able to confirm yet. There’s a chance it might,” said Cpl. Steve LeSueur of Odessa Police.
