OPD arrests four accused of flashing guns

ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The Odessa Police Department arrested four suspects over the weekend who were accused of flashing guns at a local night club.

Police officials say OPD officers were working off-duty at La Playa night club when they were flagged down and notified about suspects displaying handguns out of a vehicle.

The Officers located the vehicle in the parking lot, but the suspects drove away, according to a release. The driver eventually stopped and the suspects ran from the car, police say.

One of the suspects is accused of dropping two handguns on the ground while running from the officers and another is accused of running away with a gun in his hand, according to the release.

All four suspects were later captured, police say.

While searching the suspect’s vehicle, officers also say they located THC cartridges, Xanax and cocaine.

Two of the suspects, Dayton Lynn and Austin Subia were charged with possession of marijuana. Police also charged Jonathan Almanza with two counts of manufacture of delivery of a controlled substance, two counts of unlawful carrying of a weapon, theft of a firearm, possession of marijuana, possession of a dangerous drug and evading arrest.

Police also charged Luis Armendariz with evading arrest with a motor vehicle.
