HOWARD COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – One person is dead following a fatal crash in Howard County.
On November 8 around 7:15 p.m., DPS responded to SH 350 and FM 700 just north of Big Spring.
According to officials, a semi-truck was traveling north on SH 350 when Ramamurthy Hariharan and Shobha Hariharan, traveling west on FM 700, failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and collided with the semi-truck.
Ramamurthy Hariharan was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shobha Hariharan was transported to University Medical Center Hospital in Lubbock with incapacitating injuries.
The driver of the semi-truck was transported to Scenic Mountain Medical Center in Big Spring with non-incapacitating injuries. DPS officials say the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
