ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – An Odessa man is dead following a fatal crash early this morning in North Odessa.
Around 12:49 a.m. Odessa Police responded to 38th Street and Melody Lane in reference to a major crashing involving one vehicle.
OPD’s investigation revealed that a GMC Sierra, operated by 21-year-old Javier Ortiz Jr., was traveling westbound on 38th and lost control striking a telephone pole and tree.
Officials say Ortiz was not wearing a seatbelt. The investigation continues.
