Odessa house fires leave residents concerned


ODESSA, Texas (ABC Big 2 / FOX 24) – People living in two local neighborhoods are concerned after two home went up in flames.

People living along Drury Ln. said something like this has never happened in their neighborhood.

According to Odessa Fire Rescue a mobile home caught fire around 5 A.M Thursday morning. The mobile home was vacant when the fire broke out. No injuries were reported.

Another vacant home along Douglas Dr. in Odessa also caught fire early Monday morning.

Max Lopez who lives right next door the vacant home said he was shocked to see the fire. Lopez had concerns about the vacant house in his neighborhood.

“It’s just something that we’re never seen around here, we’ve never seen this, it’s a very good neighborhood, peaceful, quite,” Lopez said.” For something like this to happen, for me it’s just weird.”

OFR is still investigation both of these fires. An exact cause has not been determined.
