Next Level Heroes’ holiday-themed display benefits sick children

News

ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The Next Level Heroes nonprofit is putting smiles on children’s faces and giving families faith. Along with this holiday-themed display comes a DJ, Santa, hot cocoa, and more fun for all. All they ask is you donate — to help their cause.

“Blankets, heaters, toys, food, whatever it is they like to donate and they can get hot chocolate and cookies.”

Tim Linder, President of Next Level Heroes

The idea of dedicating his life to making sick children smile came to him when he was 15.
His next-door neighbor was a little girl fighting a brain tumor who had a dream of meeting SpongeBob.

“Whenever I was walking beside her she gave me the biggest hug and told me I was her hero and ever since then I felt that I needed to help the world, help those that need me.”

Since then, Tim and Next Level Heroes have traveled the country helping sick children. He says the non-profit is able to do the work they do because of community support.

“It’s been a dream of mine to travel all over the united states with my team to visit kids that are battling illnesses and needing help as different superheroes for quite a while now … Doing something for our community is really great because without them we wouldn’t be able to travel so far and help this many people. It takes a lot to do some of the things that we do and without the community, we wouldn’t be able to visit all the people we visit. We are just so blessed to have this many wonderful people in the world.”

The display is located at 1214 N Washington in Odessa.
