New Iraan Football Coach Matt Luddeke meets with students

New Iraan Head Football Coach Matthew Luddeke met with students Tuesday morning at Iraan High School.

The Iraan School Board approved of Luddeke’s hiring Monday evening. He will be replacing former head coach Corby Maurer.

This will be Luddeke’s first head coaching job. The new head coach was previously the offensive coordinator for Industrial ISD.

Luddeke said he is very thankful to the school board for giving him the opportunity as a first-time head football coach.

“Of course any place that has the tradition like this and the love for football, it makes it a great place to work at. And so you know, I’m just thankful that they’re giving me that opportunity for my first time, my first job,” he said.

Now that Luddeke is finally in Iraan, he said there is a lot for him to accomplish, but his first priority is meeting his team and building relationships.
