WINKLER COUNTY, Texas – More passing lanes will be added to Highway 302, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
The project stretches from the Loving County line to just west of Highway 115.
The $43.5 million project will add more passing lanes and go towards rehabilitation on 12.6 miles of Highway 302 in Winkler County, according to the release. The project also calls for additional overhead lighting for both FM 874 and FM 1232.
While the roadwork is being completed traffic will be moved to the south side of the road starting Monday, March 8, 2021.
Motorists are to drive a speed limit of 55 miles per hour and follow the warning signs and flaggers in the work zone.
This project is expected to take about two years to complete.
