MIDLAND, Texas (Nexstar)- Midland Health is updating their mask and screening guidelines for visitors, patients and staff, effective at 5:00 a.m. June 10.
The change comes at the request of Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services.
Every visitor who enters the facility will be screened for symptoms at all entrances to the facility. No one experiencing symptoms like fever, sore throat, cough, or shortness of breath will be permitted to visit patients.
Visitors will also need to wear a face covering throughout the building, but will be able to remove their mask while maintaining social distancing. Masks will need to be in place when visitors interact with doctors or staff.
Anyone refusing or unable to wear a face covering will be asked to leave.
