Midland Police held a news conference Thursday morning where some of Lewis’ family members were present.
They are asking the public to help bring her home.
One of Lewis’ granddaughters says, her grandmother is the center of their family.
“She’s the only part of my dad’s family that’s left. She’s everything I can remember as far as growing up…”
She’s still missing.
Billie Jane Lewis was seen Tuesday afternoon around 2:30. She had gone to a doctor’s appointment to change a prescription she was on for her memory loss. The medicine wasn’t helping.
Some of her family members are concerned because her memory problems were starting to get worse before she went missing.
“They were changing her medication because of it and so it definitely happened at the wrong time.” Cooks said.
With temperatures getting colder around the Basin, Cooks is not only worried about her grandmother’s mental health, but her physical health as well.
“With the cold weather she doesn’t have a jacket on either so that was also a major concern.”
Midland Police are continuing their search.
