The Hobbs Police Department is still investigating the death of a missing person who was found in a field on February 10.
According to police, 21-year-old Josue Orosco, a resident of Lovington, disappeared on February 5.
Just five days later, several developments led officers and Lea County deputies to the discovery of Orosco’s body in a field north of Hobbs.
In the police report, officers say there was a clear gunshot wound on the body.
However, Hobbs PD has yet to confirm the cause of death.
