MIDLAND, Texas (Nexstar)- Midland ISD Superintendent Angélica Ramsey will host the first in a series of community stakeholder meetings Wednesday evening.
Ramsey’s goal is to engage members of the Midland community and get feedback about what they view are MISD’s strengths and challenges.
“The third goal of my entry plan is to establish public trust and confidence through open, honest communication and positive relationships among stakeholder groups,” Ramsey said.
Wednesday’s meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Emerson Elementary, 2800 Moss Ave.
Ramsey will share her observations on the District but wants the focus of the meeting to be on listening.
“I would like to hear where you believe MISD is doing well, where we need improvement, and your ideas for problem solving,” Ramsey said.
According to a release from MISD, Ramsey’s community stakeholder meetings are part of a larger plan to engage with students, parents, teachers, district leadership teams, central office staff, principals, local college and university administrators, professional associations and community faith and business leaders.
Three additional community stakeholder meetings are also scheduled, and all meetings will begin at 5:30 p.m.
