MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – An age-old rivalry will be brought back to the forefront next week for a good cause.
The Midland Police Department and the Midland Fire Department will face off in a jalapeno eating contest to raise money for charity.
If the fire department wins, $1,000 will be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
If the police department wins, the same amount will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Midland.
The contest is set for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. June 10 at Whataburger, 1905 N. Big Spring Street.
