Meals on Wheels holding fan drive as temperatures soar

ODESSA, Texas (Nexstar)- Meals on Wheels is holding a fan drive to help their homebound clients stay cool this summer.

Executive Director Margaret Burton says fans are especially important for clients who have respiratory illnesses such as asthma and COPD.

Fans may be dropped off at the Meals on Wheels office at 1314 E 5th Street. Donated fans will then be distributed along with meals to anyone in the program who requests one.

Meals on Wheels says they anticipate between 170 and 200 clients will need a fan this summer.
