MCH to reimplement mask, screening policies

News

ODESSA, Texas (Nexstar)- Medical Center Hospital will once again ask patients, visitors and staff to wear a mask on their campus. Visitors will also be screened for symptoms of illness, including fever.

The change comes at the request of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services during a recent on-site visit. CMS is the governing body of Medicare funding.

The mask and screening policy will not affect the current visitor policy at the hospital. Each patient will still be allowed to have visitors unless the visitor has an illness or refuses to wear a mask.
