ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The man killed in an officer involved shooting over the weekend has been identified.
Officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety have identified the suspect as 48-year-old Billy Wade Webber.
As you may recall, Odessa Police were called to the 7200 block of Donatello about a shots fired call.
At the scene, Police say officers encountered a man who refused to comply and pointed a gun at them.
Three OPD officers then opened fire on Webber, who was later pronounced dead at the scene, according to a release.
The Texas Rangers have since taken over the investigation.
