ECTOR COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – One man has been found guilty in a murder case from 2017, according to the Ector County District Attorney’s Office Friday.
Officials say Jesus Zermeno was found guilty of murder in the shooting death of Armando Nunes and on an aggravated assault charge.
The investigation began back on Nov. 15, 2017 when deputies were called to the 12000 block of Citation Drive.
At the scene, deputies found two people who had been shot. One of the victims, Armando Nunez, was pronounced dead at the scene and another was taken to Medical Center Hospital, according to previous reports.
Zermeno has been sentenced to 60 years in prison on the murder charge and 20 on the aggravated assault charge. The Ector County DA’s office say they will run concurrently.
