Veteran Suicide Awareness

MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) –  February, we are bringing attention to the number of veterans who die by suicide every day, 22. Watch the video above to hear from local combat veterans who are still fighting to save lives by bringing awareness to veteran suicide. On February 14, tune into Big 2 News and Fox 24 to hear more from these four veterans on how to seek help.

You want to talk about numbers; you want to talk about the focus of the number 22. That’s 22, on average, that commit suicide every day. What is the scarier number is the people that attempt suicide. The even scarier big bad number is all the people who think about suicide, that would be a staggering number.

Rebecca Haberman, Director of Marketing, Hospice of Midland and Odessa
