Bodies found in Oklahoma believed to be missing Temple friends

Temple police believe two bodies found in Oklahoma are that of Jenna Scott and Michael Swearingin. This investigation started with a tip to Temple Police as they looked into the disappearance of Jenna Scott and Michael Swearingin.

The Oklahoma State Medical Examiners Office will be responsible for making positive identifications. Temple Police say the families of Scott and Swearingin have been told about the identification.

Temple detectives say they received information on Wednesday, January 9th about something happening in Okfuskee County, Oklahoma.  That’s when Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says Temple police asked for its help with a homicide investigation.  OSBI says it joined the case this weekend, after the homicide was discovered near the city of Clearview.  That is halfway between Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

Nobody appears to be living at the home where the bodies were found but police don’t believe it’s been completely abandoned.

Family of friends taking to social media Tuesday night.

“Missing him every single second of the day. I love you Michael,” Swearingin’s fiance said.

A friend who created a support page to find the friends, expressed their concerns about Scott’s temporary protective order filed last year against her ex-boyfriend Cedric Marks.

Part of the post says- “I am broken and angry and plan to do something productive with these feelings. Praying that our justice system doesn’t fail us again in the prosecution of the ones involved in this case….”
