Local restaurants aid the Permian Basin

PERMIAN BASIN (Big 2/Fox 24) – Amidst the COVID-19 spread, hospital workers are working around the clock. First responders also responding to emergencies needed and protect our community.

As a thank you to the hospital workers and first responders, Bubba’s 33 is giving away burgers to hospital workers and first responders. All they have to do is show their badge and they are provided with a quick bite to eat.

According to two workers at Bubba’s 33, they gave away around 90 burgers in a thirty-minute span. This offer for hospital workers and first responders ends today at 8 p.m.

Other restaurants are also lending a hand as they switch to drive-thru or curbside pick up.

Firehouse Subs is offering a free kids meal with the purchase of a medium or large sub. This offer runs through the end of April.

Texas Roundhouse is offering DIY meal kits. Those kits include a hand-cut steak and some sides. Included with this kit, Texas Roadhouse will be giving a roll of toilet paper, a pound of butter, and a loaf of Texas toast.

Opal’s Table in Midland is giving away 500 free meals a day to give to healthcare workers and first responders.
