Woman accused of starting fire at abandoned home in Odessa

ODESSA, Texas (Nexstar) – One woman has been accused of starting a fire at an abandoned home that had several homeless inside.

Odessa Fire/Rescue responded to the fire around 8:55 p.m. Tuesday night in the 2500 block of E. 2nd Street.

At the scene, firefighters learned it was an abandoned multi-family home with multiple homeless subjects inside, according to the release.

A woman, 37-year-old Antonia Martinez, was later charged with arson in connection with the fire.
