Where does your holiday trash go?

Local News

MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Keep Midland Beautiful wants to remind people where their trash is supposed to go after the holidays.

Food is supposed to go straight into your trashcan like normal.

Wrapping paper and bows from presents should be held onto until there is more room for trash in containers. Also, try to recycle cardboard boxes and numbers 1 and 2 plastics.

If your dumpster gets full, don’t stack trash around it. Wait until it is emptied and then dump your waste.

For those with a cut Christmas tree, in Midland the drop off recycling locations are Hogan Park behind the Armory on Lamesa Road, and the Citizens Collection Station by Airpark.  Hours for the Citizens Collection Station are Tues. – Fri. 10 am to 6 pm and Sat. 9 am to 2 pm.

For more information about holiday recycling, reducing and reusing call Keep Midland Beautiful at 688-7745.
