ODESSA, Texas (BIG 2/ FOX 24)- A night of reflections as West Texan’s gathered to honor the lives lost on September 11th and August 31st.

First responders reminding the community; they may be gone but they are never forgotten.
“I’ve always thought about those victims on 9/11 and those officers those three officers, but this year we thought about more and I think he Sheriff and Chief Alvarez did also there’s more of an impact there,” he adds.

“That these flags in some way will create a healing for a lot of folks and families that need that this week,” says attendee, Mike Marshall.
