UPDATE: Crash report shows driver was intoxicated during crash that killed Rankin ISD students

RANKIN, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – We have an update on the crash that killed two Rankin ISD students.

According to a crash report from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the driver, Fabian Esquivel, had a blood-alcohol level of .170.

DPS officials say the crash occurred back on Oct. 3 on State Highway 349.

Esquivel, according to the report from DPS, crossed the center line on the road and collided head-on with a Nissan Maxima.

Esquivel, along with the driver of the Maxima, Kristina McCrary, and passengers Raylee Ramos and Reece Ramos, were all killed in the crash, the initial report stated.
