Two new COVID-19 deaths at MCH

ODESSA, TEXAS – Medical Center Health System is reporting two more COVID-19
related deaths. The first patient, a 96-year-old man, died Saturday afternoon, July 11.
The second patient, a 41-year-old female, died shortly after the previous patient.

The 96-year-old male was from Odessa and was admitted from home to Medical Center
Hospital on June 30. The 41-year-old female was from Odessa and admitted from home
to Medical Center Hospital on July 4. Both patients had pre-existing conditions and both
families have been notified.

MCH currently has 41 COVID-19 positive patients in-house. The Critical Care Unit has
12 patients with six on ventilators. The Critical Care overflow in the Wheatley Stewart
Medical Pavilion has five patients with all five on ventilators. The remaining 24 patients
are on our COVID isolation floors, 7 Central and 8 Central.
