ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Two new cases have been confirmed in Ector County, according to stats released on Monday.

This brings the total count to 78.

Ector County officials have also confirmed they have scaled back operations at the Emergency Operations Center and returned to normal status.

County officials say the decision was made due to “…the objective being reached.” On Monday in the daily briefing officials with Medical Center Hospital confirmed they received notification that the county would no longer participate in the Zoom meetings.

Meanwhile, drive-thru testing is also opening this week. County officials say the testing site has been set up at the Ector County Coliseum.

Those who believe they needed to be tested for COVID-19 are asked to call 432-703-5481 to be screened. If health officials determine a test is necessary, patients will be given an appointment time and a patient ID.
