ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Two new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Ector County.
According to data released Sunday, a woman in her 20’s and another woman in her 30’s have both tested positive for Coronavirus.
Both women were tested by private providers and the source of their exposure is currently unknown, the data shows.
The new cases come after the third COVID-19 related death was reported. Officials with Medical Center Hospital announced that a woman in her 30’s died Sunday. It is the first death at MCH, but the third in the county.
Officials with ORMC announced the second death last week. However, the Ector County Health Department noted that patient was not from Ector County and thus would not be listed in their data.
The first death was reported back on April 7.
The count is now 43 in Ector County.
