REEVES COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Two people from California were killed following a crash west of Pecos over the weekend, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Troopers were called to the crash around noon Saturday on Interstate 20 about nine miles west of Pecos.
While investigating, troopers learned that the driver of a Honda Accord, Xiaojun Zhou, struck a guardrail before crossing into the center median and colliding with a semi-truck in the westbound lanes, according to the report.
Zhou and a passenger, Tiezan Wang, were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the semi, Leann Spraug, was taken to Reeves County Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries, DPS officials say.
