ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The Ector County ISD board of trustees unanimously approved a policy change that will ensure employees will be paid as the district extends it’s Spring Break holiday due to COVID-19.
It was one of the many questions on the minds of parents and teachers as ECISD made it’s the announcement last week.
District Trustees modified their existing Compensation and Benefits plan to include payment for regular ECISD employees, contractual and non-contractual, salaried and non-salaried, would be paid as scheduled, during an emergency closure.
ECISD, among other districts across the country, extended their Spring Break amid the Coronavirus outbreak.
Currently, the district is closed for the next two weeks.
