“I know they are big boots to fill but I think I’m the man to do it. Midland’s important to me my family lives here I have a brother that’s in law enforcement here, I have a son that’s in law enforcement in Ector County and Midland is home to us; the people here are important to me and the Sheriff’s Office is important.”

A native Texan, Hain has served the Big Spring, Odessa and Regan County Police Departments before becoming the Chief of Police for the City of Page in Arizona. Now, he’s back in West Texas serving as the Chief of Police for UTPB.

“I’ve been through the FBI National Academy in Quantico Virginia, management, and leadership schools. Like I said I’ve lead agencies for the last 20 years so I certainly have the background for it. I think they need a leader that has integrity and ethics and will lead them well into the next several years.”
