MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The third Coronavirus-related death has been reported in Midland County, according to officials with Midland Memorial Hospital.
Hospital officials say the patient was a woman in her 90’s and was a patient at Midland Medical Lodge.
The death comes after several patients and staff members tested positive for the virus. Midland Health Officials said there are 14 people in isolation at MML, as of Friday morning.
Midland Health CEO Russell Meyers also said they have sent a team to MML to test the rest of the staff and patients and expects to have those results back early next week.
Meyers also noted that the testing will give them an idea of how widespread the outbreak is at the facility and what the hospital volume may be in the coming days.
